Abatis Solutions Ltd was formed in 2003, from our base in Holton le Clay on the outskirts of Grimsby, Lincolnshire. Early growth and the acquisition of Cleethorpes based Advanced Alarms required us to move into a purpose built unit at our current premises at Pyewiipe Business Centre in Grimsby. 

Abatis was formed by Chris Stephenson, who was determined to build a company that did things differently. At the top of the companies priorities was to give the best possible quality and service, and to match this with highly competitive prices. We’ve always promised to provide honest advice. We won’t pressure or suggestive sell, but we will advise our valued customers of new technologies that might interest or assist you, and keep you fully informed of new industry standards that you need to know about. We are proud to do this.

We believe in being honest and open. Our company policy is to give the best quality at the best price. We can’t be the cheapest every time, but we’re confident that overall, our systems give best value.

Our Standards

Our workmanship is, we believe, unrivalled by our peers. We view what we do as a work of art and work hard to give an aesthetically pleasing end result as well as an efficient system that is designed with your requirements in mind. Installation standards have been honed over years of experience, the result Is wired systems with little wire!

In domestic situations we do our best to ensure all cabling is out of sight. We don’t clip around door frames or under the carpets; our cabling is installed where it should be- under the floorboards. We take great care of your home, like it was our own and we’re often told that “ I couldn’t see where you’d been” and that’s music to our ears, it’s what we aim for.

In other applications, we adopt a similar policy of ensuring the neatest job regardless of where  the installation is. Office or school, Industrial unit or shop, each job has the same requirement for a high quality finish.

Abatis Fire & Security Ltd were the first company in North and North East Lincolnshire to achieve the NSI Systems silver approval, the first Approved security company in North and North East Lincolnshire to achieve Part P approval, the first security company in North and North East Lincolnshire to achieve TrustMark accreditation and the first security company in North and North East Lincolnshire to be approved and included on the North East Lincolnshire Trading Standards Vetted directory.

Our Employees

The electronic fire and security industry, like most trades, has suffered from severe shortages in personnel over the recent years. The problems this can cause are well known, and can include the utilisation of poorly trained and unmotivated staff turning out substandard work. Abatis Fire & Security Ltd takes a different and refreshing viewpoint on this and seeks to train all apprentices on industry recognised courses through Skills For Security (formally known as SITO). When we’ve done that, we support them with on going training and opportunities to retain their valuable skills within our company, ensuring a committed and well motivated team.

It takes passion and dedication to really know your industry, and we think we know ours.

Take intruder alarms – some companies talk about “Dual Tech” detectors being cure alls, yet we  appreciate the fact that certain environmental issues can cause problems for a dual tec detector that a good quality and correctly fitted PIR will happily live with.

It’s about understanding what’s needed rather than selecting the cheapest device, or by making bold statements that simply cant be supported by the facts. In the security industry, you cant ever claim that “one size fits all”, the important thing is to recognise this fact and at Abatis we do.

Some companies quote just on price without properly considering YOUR best interests and needs. We do, and we are proud to do so.
